Medical herbalist & Hypnotherapy by Annabel Todd
Annabel Todd is a medical herbalist and has been working full time in Leicestershire for 14-years helping people to resolve long-standing health problems gently and safely.
She studied herbal medicine for five years at the University of Central Lancashire. The course covered all the medical sciences, such as physiology, anatomy, pathology, pharmacology, diagnosis and physical examination, as well as how to use herbs as medicines.
This understanding of orthodox medicine – both treatment and diagnosis – is especially important when helping people who are taking medicines prescribed by their doctor. Herbs given to people alongside pharmaceutical drugs must be safe to take together.
Annabel is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) which is the United Kingdom’s leading professional body representing herbal practitioners established in 1864 and which has a long and illustrious history: https://nimh.org.uk
She qualified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Counsellor in 2011, and these additional skills mean that she can offer a wide range of help, according to what you feel you need help with and how you wish to move forward.
Hypnotherapy and counselling can be combined with herbal medicine to good effect, for example when helping people with stress or emotional issues such as anxiety, depression and insomnia, and it can also be used to support physical healing, as there is often an emotional component with many health problems. But hypnotherapy and counselling and herbal medicine can all be used as stand-alone therapies, if that is what you want.
