Herbatonin is the world’s first plant melatonin (phyto-melatonin) made from unique varieties of rice, alfalfa and chlorella all in a vegan capsule. All other melatonin on the market is from synthetic or animal sources.
Melatonin regulates the circadian rhythm or sleep/wake cycle based on light and dark, NOT day and night. The sleep cycle is triggered when the retina registers darkness and secrets melatonin from the pineal gland into the bloodstream. Similarly, the wake cycle is triggered when the retina registers light. This is important as taking melatonin and then being exposed to light can make it harder to sleep or waking in darkness can make it hard to wake up.
Shiftwork*: Take 1-2 capsules 30 minutes before desired sleep (or as recommended by your healthcare provider). Limit light exposure after taking.
Jet Lag*: Upon arriving in a new time zone, stay awake all day to mirror the new time zone sleep cycle. Take 1-2 capsules of Herbatonin about half an hour before desired sleep. Continue for the following 3-4 nights, gradually reducing the dose. Sleep in darkness and ensure the morning light wakes you up.
